Meditation can reduce your tension and help you relax


Why do some of us find it so hard to relax?

  • To relax we need to let go of our busy day, come out of auto pilot and focus mindfully on what we are doing.
  • Many of us are in the "fight or flight" response most of the day, this is common with the stressful lives many of us have.
  • Being in auto pilot or the "fight or flight" response, we tend to react to situations without thinking and are always tense.
  • This can cause arguments and saying things we regret later.
  • Relaxing may also be hard because of emotional issues from childhood or current relationships.

Any of the above can be helped with meditation

Learning meditation can help you relax your mind as well as your body.

  • The first few sessions you will find lots of thoughts coming into your mind as you try to relax. This is perfectly normal.
  • You will learn to consciously bring your focus back to the leaders voice or your breathing each time this happens.
  • This will help you start to feel calmer and more relaxed.
